Lou Paletta graduated with a BBA in Accounting from Texas A&M University in 1978. He is Executive Vice President and Director of Investor Relations for Lone Star Funds, a global private equity investment firm that to date has raised over $34 billion in capital. Before assuming investor and fundraising responsibilities in 1996, Lou directed financing and closing activities in connection with all investment acquisitions. Between 1990 and 1995, he served as the director of audit for a public/private joint venture to liquidate a $2.2 billion portfolio of distressed loans/real estate assets and also directed day-to-day audit and compliance activities for an $18 billion California based thrift. He spent the first 12 years of his professional career with the international accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche where he obtained his CPA license. Lou has served as captain of the Dallas Champions Council for the past three years and currently serves on the board of directors of the Aggie Golf Association and the Vaquero Club in Westlake, where he and his wife, Wanda, reside. Lou also serves on the Advisory Council for the Mays Business School at Texas A&M.
