Steve Morris earned his BBA from Texas Tech in 1974. He is President of Morris and Company, a private investment company located in Cypress. Upon graduation, Steve obtained his CPA license and spent the early years of his career with the international accounting firm of Ernst & Young. He later served as chief financial officer of a private oil and gas company, ultimately purchasing the company. He used proceeds from his sale of this company to launch his private investment company. Steve presently serves as a director of several companies in the banking and energy industries, both public and private. He also sits on the board of a non-profit entity as well as serving as an elder in his church. As a lifetime Aggie fan, Steve became a proud member of the 12th Man Foundation when his daughter enrolled at A&M in 2001. He served as co-chair of the Olsen Field Renovation Committee, and he and his wife were lead donors. Steve is a member of the Houston Champions Council. A native of Midland, Steve resides in Cypress with his wife, Karen. Steve and Karen have a daughter, Kelli, Fightin’ Texas Aggie class of '05.
